Our Mission and Purpose
Stars offers a comprehensive and inclusive program designed to empower Indigenous girls and young women throughout their educational journey. By fostering a supportive environment, we aim not only to facilitate their attendance and engagement in school but also to guide them through the completion of Year 12 and help them transition seamlessly into the workforce or higher education.
At the heart of our approach lies the cultivation of robust, trusting relationships. Within the nurturing confines of the Stars Room, we create a culturally sensitive and welcoming space where students can flourish, drawing inspiration and strength from their surroundings.
Our dedicated team of full-time Mentors orchestrates a rich tapestry of activities aimed at nurturing the holistic development of our Stars. From bolstering self-esteem to instilling confidence and equipping them with essential life skills, our mentors provide unwavering support to ensure that each participant is not just academically proficient but also poised for a bright and independent future.
