The School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) offers flexible learning opportunities for students wishing to study subjects not available through our standard timetable. With online coursework and support from a school-based mentor, students can expand their learning options while developing valuable independent study skills and self-discipline—preparing them for future academic success.
SIDE enables us to significantly broaden our curriculum offerings beyond what is typically available in regional schools. Through SIDE, students can access a diverse range of language courses (including Japanese, French, Italian, and Chinese) and additional ATAR subjects that help maximise their tertiary entrance options. This approach ensures our students receive educational opportunities comparable to metropolitan schools while remaining in our supportive community environment.
