During the recent school holidays a significant number of important projects have been completed which will assist in our commitment to deliver a quality education at Esperance Senior High School.

Stage 1 of the CCTV system: 60% of cameras have been installed. Stage 2 will be completed over the Christmas break.

Admin building renovation: Stage 1 is almost finished, with Stage 2 scheduled for the Christmas holidays.

Quad Native garden beds: These are now in place, complete with reticulation.

Carpark retaining wall: A new retaining wall has been built.

Flagpoles: Three new flagpoles have been installed in the front garden bed.

Carpeting: New carpet has been laid in several Junior Campus classrooms and the library foyer.

Junior Campus shelter huts: The huts have been enclosed with wood for added protection from the elements.

Pest control: We’ve implemented measures to manage the pigeon problem.

Interactive TVs: New interactive TVs have been installed throughout the MESH subject learning areas, as well as the Library.

STEM furniture: The new STEM furniture has arrived and we can anticipate the building to be operational beginning next year.

Painting and maintenance: Multiple areas around the school have been repainted, and many repairs both big and small have been resolved.

There are still a few projects underway that will be completed during the term, including rolling out our teacher laptop program and the acquisition of our new school bus, so we can look forward to more improvements as we continue moving the school forward.
The behind the scenes work that is required for these initiatives to see the light of day is massive with government requirements, sourcing contractors and materials, and of course budgeting all needing to come together. A special thank you to all the staff involved.

We are still working hard to source funding for a school upgrade and should have some more planning news to share with you all shortly.

Finally, congratulations to Amanda Stoner on her appointment heading up the ESHS STARS program.  Amanda has done such a terrific job backfilling the position and the appointment is well deserved.
