National Youth Science Forum 2024

Charlie Hoggart and I, Isaac Francis have both had the privilege of being accepted into the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program.
The NYSF is a non-profit organization that aims to encourage young people in the passion and endeavors towards Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics subjects (STEM). The Year 12 Program is a 9-day trip held in January every year that is designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options in the STEM subjects. The program is held in two sessions, next year they are held in Canberra and Brisbane. Charlie and I are both going to Brisbane next year.

The application process is simple as well. All that we were required to do was to write a short passage about ourselves, telling them who we are, what we enjoy and what we plan to do in the future. On top of this, the Rotary Club of Esperance assisted massively in the funding process which Charlie and I are forever appreciative of.

We are so grateful for the opportunity as well as the financial assistance and I think it is safe to say that we are both looking forward to it next year.
