Career Taster Program
Our Year 9 students have been getting career curious through the Year 9 Career Taster Program.

There have already been some fantastic highlights! Students have visited CBH, including a trip to the top of the big tower, and Southern Ports and Boluda Towage, where a very special highlight was getting on board the tugboats and learning about the many different roles and career pathways within the industry.

We also visited Lucky Bay Brewing, where students got hands-on making their own pizzas while learning what goes into running a busy hospitality venue, as well as some of the science behind the brewery.

Our Year 9s have also been busy at South Regional TAFE, gaining an insight into Early Childhood Education and Care, Education Support, Hairdressing and Hospitality. Over the next few weeks, we have plenty more to come, including an Agriculture Taster at the school farm, followed by another visit to TAFE to explore Nursing, Automotive and Engineering.
I would love to take the opportunity to congratulate all of the Year 9s who have participated so far for their organisation, curiosity and exceptional engagement while out and about in our community.

Year 10s
Our Year 10 students have also been very busy working through the interview process to select their Upper School pathways. A big thank you to all of the students and families who have booked interviews and taken the time to have some great conversations about future pathways and subject selections.
This week, we have also had around 40 Year 10 students out on Work Experience. A massive thank you goes to all of the local businesses who have opened their doors and hosted our students, giving them a valuable insight into the world of work. It has been a pleasure getting out and about to visit students and see them doing such a fantastic job, asking questions, getting involved and building connections with local employers.

Year 12
Our Year 12 students are quickly approaching the end of their time at school. Our university-bound students have been particularly busy completing applications, applying for scholarships and organising accommodation, with many now eagerly awaiting the first of the much-anticipated early offers next month.
As always, my office is open to students and families. Feel free to pop in, send me an email or get in touch if you would like to make an appointment.
