The 2026 Esperance Show was another fantastic year for Esperance Senior High School, with 21 head of cattle and 13 head of sheep attending. It was an extremely busy few days, but our students put in the hard yards and helped make the event run smoothly.
We were incredibly proud of how our students represented the school, not only through the presentation of their livestock but also through their excellent behaviour, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event.
Preparations began on Thursday, with everyone working together to wash livestock, organise equipment and get everything ready for the two big days ahead.

Friday – Cattle Judging
This year, we were also excited to welcome Mount Barker Community College to the Esperance Show. Their attendance helped fill the cattle laneway and created a fantastic atmosphere around the cattle ring. It was wonderful to see so many cattle and young exhibitors involved, which is very encouraging for the future of agricultural shows in our region.

Overall Show Summary
Overall, the 2026 Esperance Show was a huge success for our school and agricultural program. We couldn’t be prouder of the students who participated, with many putting in long hours preparing livestock, helping one another and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
It was fantastic to see their hard work rewarded with such great results, but more importantly, to see the confidence, teamwork and skills they demonstrated throughout the show.
Events like the Esperance Show provide our students with valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed through our agricultural program.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible. It was certainly a busy one, but an incredibly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
