Term 2 has seen the start of the cooler (and wetter) months with seeding, spreading, and spraying underway.  By the end of this term we’ll also get to see how the crops have progressed!  Hopefully, with the rain and right weather conditions, we will be looking at a solid harvest this year.

Earlier this term, Mr Labuscagne made a bet with the Year 10s, they wouldn’t be able to outdo his knowledge on a topic on sustainable agricultural practices… And given the right incentive, the Year 10s locked in, put in the hard work and outshone their teacher!

Back in May several of our Department of Fire and Emergency Cadets braved the cooler temperatures to camp out in the paddock. As part of the DFES Cadets, students put into practice some fire management, a range of cooking, and camping skills.  It was a great way to welcome the weekend and the winter months to come, with some very skilful cooking upon the coals and putting the bush barbeques the students had made in Workshop to good use.
