At the end of Week 1, Esperance Senior High School hosted a Year 7 Welcome BBQ, bringing together students, families, and staff for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. The event was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to connect, share stories and build relationships in a casual setting. It was fantastic to see so many families in attendance, and I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us.

A special thanks goes to our incredible Student Services team for organizing such a successful event. Their hard work and dedication ensured the event ran smoothly and provided a warm welcome to our newest students and their families.

As we settle into the school year, I’d like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of regular school attendance. Attending school every day is crucial for students to build strong foundations, stay engaged with their learning and develop positive relationships with their peers and teachers. If your child is facing any challenges, whether academic, social, or personal, please encourage them to seek support early. Our Student Services staff are here to help, and addressing concerns sooner rather than later ensures students can thrive throughout their time at Esperance SHS. Year 7 Coordinator, Mrs Kerryn Plecas, is readily available to support in any which way you need. My door in the front office is also always open.

Thank you again for your attendance at the Welcome Week BBQ. Together, we can make this a successful and rewarding transition and year for our Year 7 students.
